The Motorcycle Helmet Kit with Wireless PTT Remote Speaker Microphone is a fantastic product that enables the rider to secure the Wireless PTT button on the handle bars of the bike ensuring that the rider’s hands are where they should be when communicating – steering the motorcycle.
The benefit of incorporating the Remote Speaker Microphone Wireless PTT with the Motorcycle Helmet Kit is that when the rider alights from his ride he can simply:-
- remove his helmet unplugging the kit from the Remote Speaker Microphone 3.5mm jack;
- leave the helmet and Wireless PTT button with the bike; and
- go about his/her business in the knowledge that he/she still has communications with base via the Remote Speaker Microphone.
This will revolutionise the way Motorcycle Police can communicate back to base once they have alighted from their ride. Traditionally the officer’s lose communications once they leave their bike as the radio comms were hardwired to the bike. This is a simple, cost effective yet effective OH&S tool. Similarly this product is suitable for any operator wearing either a full face or open face helmet who requires continued communication upon alighting from their ride – whatever that may be.
ABOUT THE WIRELESS PTT BUTTON
This new innovation allows the user to be hands free as the Wireless PTT button (transmitter) can be hidden in your pocket, secured to forward pistol grip or secured to the steering wheel of a vehicle, wherever the mood takes you. The Wireless PTT (transmitter) is IP67 rated and completely water proof. There is no charging of batteries as this product has been designed to be pressed 100,000 times (approximately 2 years) before the Wireless PTT button needs replacing. If the Wireless PTT button does fail there is a second PTT backup button located on the receiver.
The Wireless PTT is CE ticked.
AVAILABLE CONNECTIONS
The Wireless PTT product for the Portable digital and analogue radios only works on the higher tier units that use Multipin connections (e.g. Kenwood Nexedge, TK-3180 (K2), Motorola Waris Series, Tait TP8000 Series, Icom IC-F4163 etc) with the exception of the Kenwood 2 pin (K1) e.g TK-3160.
